The aftermath of COVID-19: How does the EU defence industry adapt to a new normal?
While still dealing with the immediate effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, defence industry has also to start preparing for new ways of working that may emerge once the (new) normality is restored. The crisis is highlighting existing vulnerabilities as well as new challenges (e.g. concerning the supply chain management and its dependencies issues, dual-use nature of defence companies as well as working practices) that need to be addressed in order to ensure resilience of the defence sector while continuing to support EU defence cooperation. How is the EU defence industry getting ready for the next phase and what are its expectations in terms of national and European support?
